Travesty Dance Group is a non-profit dance company with three co-founders located in three different cities.  Travesty Dance Group/Houston is directed by Co-Founder Karen Stokes.  TDG/H has had over 20 performances in the Houston region in the last two years, as well as touring to Philadelphia & Cleveland.

2010 Winter UPDATES for TDG Houston!

• Teresa Chapman & Karen Stokes will be traveling to Karlsbad Sweden in June to perform a new duet by Stokes.  TDG/Houston was accepted by juried invitation to perform choreography by Stokes at Abundance 2010 in Sweden, an international dance festival. 
• Cleveland Colleague & Co-Founder Kimberly Karpanty plans to be in New York City in the Fall working on a new Travesty Dance Group project . . . TDG/H hopes to join her in the Big Apple in November.
• Director Karen Stokes enjoyed meeting dance colleagues Anne Bulteau at the Academie Regionale de Danse and Sebestien Kempf of the Centre Choreographizue National de Caen in Caen France.   Looking forward to future collaborations abroad!
• Our educational show for students "Framing Dance" at the Hobby Center for Performing Arts was a big success, with 2400 student attendees arriving by bus to the theater.  Thank you to the Hobby Center and Young Audiences for their great partnership with us.
